Class Motto

Today is the day to learn something new!

Policies

HOMEWORK-
There will not be a lot of homework assigned for your child. I believe that time at home should involve time spent with family and experiential learning. The only homework that your child will be expected to complete is 45 minutes of reading each week, with the help of a parent, sibling, or other guardian. This will be documented on a reading calendar sent home in the Child Communication Folder each week.

ASSIGNMENT GRADING- Each assignment that your child completes will be graded according to completion and accuracy.

ATTENDANCE- I will follow the school policy regarding your child's attendance. If your child is unable to attend school, please contact the front office. If there is any reason for a longterm absence period, please contact me and I will accomodate materials to prevent your child from falling behind.

TECHNOLOGY- I plan to discuss the importance of online safety, personal information, respecting others while online, and how your chid's choices matter when they are on the internet. I will then detail step-by-step instructions on the process of logging in to the learning platforms that we will utilize, how to enter their username and password, and begin exploring. This procedure will be practiced carefully to ensure that your child understands the importance of their presence online and the privilege of utilizing the technology provided. I hope that you will partner with me in guiding them through their online experiences.

ACADEMIC PROGRESS- Each semester period, your child will receive a progress report with a detailed explanation of their performance and overall academic progress. If you would like an earlier

CONFERENCES/MEETINGS- Throughout the year, we will have 2 scheduled conferences to discuss the progress of your child's performance and any additional information. If you feel the need to schedule an additional meeting, we will do so when the time arises. Please feel free to contact me.

ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE- If for any reason, your child seems to be struggling with the work completed in class, please feel free to contact me. I work hard to monitor the progress of my students and strive to ensure that everyone is meeting their goals.
